The script and art for "Samsara" look great, but I keep having problems with the name "Lasse" every time I see it on Manuela Soriani's art pages.
English doesn't have a male name anything like it; in fact, I've never seen it in my 57 years of reading hundreds of new American or British books a year, even as the name of a foreign character.
As a result, I (and, I'd guess, most English speakers) keep misreading it as "Lassie,"which is either a Scots term for "girl" or a fictional dog.
What is the name's origin/nationality? All I can think of is a variant of Klaus/Clause, but I still read it wrong every time I see it on the page, as if Mason was saying things like, "Don't worry, girly; it was just a dream."
Which is rather distracting from the mood.
